My name is Rosanne Greenway (she/her). I am a white, cisgender woman, an LGBTQIA+ ally, align with body positivity/Health at Every Size, and work to interrogate my own unconscious biases around race, gender, sexuality and class. At various points in my life, I've also identified as a musician, athlete, nerd, or bookworm.
I have two masters degrees: the first, in early childhood special education from the University of Texas-Austin (2005), and the second, in counseling psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology (2024). Before I went back to school for counseling, I was a certified special education teacher. I primarily worked with elementary-aged students with moderate to severe disabilities.
After becoming a parent, I started to understand more about the importance of attachment and responsive parenting. I am excited to use both my understanding of child development and my training in psychotherapy to help people live more fully. I have personally experienced several traumatic losses, and have deep empathy for people who are struggling with recent loss.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy singing with my a cappella chorus and quartet, spending time with my family, and open water swimming.
